Guardiola to hold final place on unified list of CDC, ERC, and 27-S organizations
According to several media outlets, the former Barça coach will take the symbolic final position on the candidate list led by Romeva
BarcelonaPep Guardiola, former Barça coach and current coach of Bayern Munich, will close the unified pro-independence list of candidates promoted by CDC, ERC, and the separatist organizations, according to various sources. The candidacy, which will be presented on Monday afternoon at the Museum of Catalan History, will be led by Raül Romeva, Carme Forcadell, and Muriel Casals. The fourth and fifth positions will be reserved for Artur Mas and Oriol Junqueras, respectively.
According to Spanish newspaper El País, Guardiola has ruled out being a representative to the Catalan Parliament. He believes that occupying the symbolic final position in the candidate list is the best way to show his support to the process. In fact, it will not be the first time that he has lent his support. He is a member of both the ANC and Òmnium Cultural, the two grassroots organizations that have mobilized the pro-independence movement, and has participated in the events of of September 11th and November 9th.
