The outrage against two elected MEPs, Puigdemont and Comín, intercepted by security at the door of the European Parliament, became even greater when Tajani (a politician nurtured in the shadow of Berlusconi) blocked the accreditations of all new Spanish MEPs so that the discrimination would be less noticeable.
Spain and its duly decorated friends are destroying democracy in a very graphic way: yesterday they prevented over one million votes from entering the European Parliament. The scandal adds to an ever-growing shame list, that of Catalan victories at the polls which have been redacted in Spanish offices: the Statute of 2006, the election of Puigdemont, the suspension of Junqueras, Sànchez, Rull, Turull, and Romeva , and now elected officials barred for no reason. But it would be wrong to conclude that voting is pointless. That is what they would like us to think. On the contrary: every time you win, they get their hands dirty.
