I began the summer working on the restaging of ‘Incendis’ at the Biblioteca de Catalunya and on rehearsals for the play ‘La partida’ at Teatre Goya, so I’ve been working as a director and as an actor at the same time. I’ll be working until the last week of July. In fact, this year I’m working from Monday to Friday. I only have the weekends to blow off steam and I take advantage of them to go to the beach at Sant Pol de Mar and swim, which I like a lot. I also take advantage of the weekends to spend time with my family and play with my kids. I’ll start my real holidays in August and I’m going to Corsica for a couple of weeks with my family. We still don’t know exactly what we’re going to do because the trip isn’t completely arranged yet so we’ll improvise a little. But I can say that I’m looking forward to visiting the northern part of the island, because I’ve been told that it’s very beautiful, and then we’ll travel around a bit. We try to go on holiday together every summer. In terms of books, I’m currently reading The Blazing World by Siri Hustvedt, and I’d like to read Milena Busquets’ first novel També això passarà, that great Catalan novel Incerta glòria by Joan Sales, as well as many other books. Around the beginning of September I’ll go back to work to prepare performances for the Temporada Alta festival and I’ll then go on to work on King Lear at Teatre Lliure.
