I’ll be working for much of this coming summer. For those of us who work in the music world, summers tend to be busy with tours and concerts. This year is the 10th anniversary of my group, L’Ombre de ton Chien, and we’re on tour to celebrate. We’re performing all through the week and I don’t have much time for myself. Moreover, during the rest of the year I combine performances with the music classes I teach, so summer is the only time when I can only manage to take a few days off to rest. In August we don’t happen to have any performances scheduled except for the first day of the month, so I’ll take advantage of that to take things as easy as I can. I’m not completely sure yet but I’d like to travel to Brittany. If I manage to do that it’ll all be improvised because I haven’t really planned anything for my holidays. When I’m there, I’ve got my eye on a couple of festivals I’d like to attend. One of them is La Route du Rock in Saint-Malo. In September we’ll restart the tour for our latest album, Un pas i neu i un pas, rethinking some things: we’ll incorporate songs that suit the style of the performance to keep it feeling fresh. We may also record some videos for the album. I like to enjoy cultural events in the summer. I love going to the theatre, to music festivals, and to exhibitions, though I prioritise music and scenic arts events. I’ve been to Altacústic, a music festival held on the streets of Altafulla, listening to Nyandú and Copa Lotus, among others. Summer is for spending time with friends, having dinner and hanging out with them.
